Should Yahoo worry?

Yahoo Puts Finances in New Hands By Clint Boulton for full report visit www.internetnews.com

Seeking to turn the company's finances around as competition in the online advertising market intensifies, Yahoo (Quote) named Blake Jorgensen as CFO.
Jorgensen, the co-founder of Thomas Weisel Partners, will join Yahoo June 4 and report to Yahoo Chairman and CEO Terry Semel. Jorgensen will replace Susan Decker, who will turn her attention solely to her role as head of the advertiser and publisher group.
Blake's task will be to right the company's financial status, which has been compromised by delays in the rollout of the Panama and increased competition with Google (Quote), AOL (Quote) and Microsoft (Quote)in the online ad space.
Though Yahoo grew sales 22 percent to $6.4 billion in 2006, the company reported 2006 profit of $751 million, a 60 percent drop from the $1.9 billion in profit it declared the year before. Those results, as well as Google's growing dominance in the online ad market, prompted talks of a merger between Microsoft and Yahoo.

Sport superstitions!

to read a full list of facts head over to www.infoplease.com another wicked info site! If you have any to add here then please do :)

Players and fans alike have their ways of avoiding bad luck. Some sports superstitions are stranger than others. For example, Michael Jordan (a graduate of North Carolina) always wore his blue North Carolina shorts under his Bulls uniform for good luck. Baseball players may be the most superstitious. Pitcher Turk Wendell brushes his teeth and chews licorice between every inning. Wade Boggs would eat only chicken the day of a game, and used to draw a symbol that means “To Life” in the dirt before every at-bat. Former pitcher Mark “The Bird” Fidrych used to play with the dirt on the mound and talk to himself and the ball before he pitched. Red Sox shortstop Nomar Garciaparra gets dressed the same way every day, makes sure to step on each dugout step with both feet, and tugs at his batting gloves and taps his toes during each at-bat.

UFO myth's/facts

If you find this interesting then pop over to www.spiritual.com.au/articles/et/ufo-facts.htm to read the rest!

Myth: Very few people have really seen a UFO... Fact: According to a Roper poll conducted in 2002 for the SciFi channel, one in seven Americans say they or someone they know has had an experience involving a UFO...
A total of 14 percent have had or know someone who has had at least one Close Encounter of the "First," "Second," or "Third" kind. The largest proportion (12 percent) say they or someone else they know has seen a UFO at close quarters.Source: Poll from - Coalition for Freedom of Information
Myth: Airline pilots never see UFOs, so they must not be real... Fact: There have been many cases of pilot sightings ever since the 1940s...
The most convincing UFO reports were produced in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s by airline pilots, military pilots and ex-military pilots. These men had the training and the experience to be able to distinguish between normal sky sights and highly abnormal sights. They knew what airplanes looked like, and what meteors looked like, having seen them many times. Their visual observations were frequently supported by radar data which showed essentially the same thing. They were therefore able, on many occasions, to methodically eliminate conventional phenomena from consideration when trying to identify UFOs.

If you have been trying to make money online for any substantial period of time you will probably have heard at least once that niche marketing is the way to do it.
There is good reason for this. Particularly as a newcomer, there is no point stepping into the arena of people with 10 times your experience and trying to sell online marketing products for example. Much smarter is it to focus on your own carefully selected niche market with far less competition and potential for easy profit.
